1. I want to clearly address my open & public identification and shaming of brutal white supremacists & bigots. I publicly shame men for their public actions. They earned the scorn. They've each caused tremendous pain & intended to do so without consequence. I reject that.

9. This notion that we've done Aaron wrong, that he "doesn't seem like a very nice person," but that he should suffer no consequences for his public bigotry, threats, and violence is about the whitest thing I've read in my entire life. It's absurd.https://twitter.com/juliaioffe/status/997277752008028160 …

10. In the United States you have freedom of speech. That means you can be a public bigot without getting arrested for it. That's all it means. It also means you can be kicked out of your office for it. Or have mariachi bands play at your home.https://twitter.com/juliaioffe/status/997277752008028160 …

11. It's apparently easy for people who don't suffer public bigotry to say how much kinder & gentler those who do suffer it should be treating the men & women who victimize them. They must be held accountable. Lack of accountability got us here.https://twitter.com/juliaioffe/status/997277752008028160 …

12. I spend about 30 hours a week behind the scenes identifying public bigots, assessing threats across the country, advising organizations & people on what this means for them. By in large the entire law enforcement community has left us to do this work all on our own.

13. Anyway, it is my hope that bigots in America are coming to understand that they can choose to harass or attack people, but millions of us will make sure they are known for it for the rest of their lives. That's your choice. Try it and see what happens. //End of Thread

And let us not forget that tweet back in 2011 when she very openly used the n word and tried to cover it up 6 years later saying it was part of a series of questions a Russian kid asked her.

I honestly cannot fathom how people can allow themselves to act in public in any way that would be against their nature. The public arena is just that - public. Any reaction from actions that are/should be scorned are theirs to own.

When are the cops going to “mystery shop” themselves? Or, can we take aggressive cops, and as part of their corrective action plan, be subjected to an arrest and booking with another department, that has no idea they’re a cop, so they can understand what happens?
