@cengeland, I couldn’t agree more! Read it over 1 wknd in ‘87 when I was undergrad. Changed my thoughts/beliefs about #MalcomX, death & fear. Changed my life!
I went on to read many of James Baldwin's works too. Both gave me a perspective I was ignorant of. Much work is left to be done.
Malcolm X saved me, an Asian-American man, when I was a teen growing up full of internalized self-hate in white suburbia. He taught me to stand proud, that it was okay to be angry at injustice & that I should never stop growing as a person. Thank you, Brother Malcolm.
