The front-line against criminal justice reform STATEWIDE in California has been Sacramento's right-wing DA Anne Marie Schubert.

She's used her power, her influence, her campaign money to oppose statewide ballot propositions that have negated some reforms.

You may have seen @RealJusticePAC and I put pressure on elected Democrats in Sacramento for endorsing her over the past few weeks.

Over 30,000 of you signed a petition demanding they rescind their endorsements. To date only one has - and we commend @CM_AllenWarren for it

So let's be crystal clear: these elected democrats are putting political expediency ahead of liberation for black and brown people.

They would rather protect an incumbent opposed to the preferences of their base rather than back underdog reformer. It's cowardice.

But we're not letting it stop us. The community is responding. And we've got some major momentum.
