If the United States government actually surveilled the communications & social media of white boys & men like they do everybody else - they'd see thousands of warning signs that these mass shootings were going to happen.

The #SantaFe shooter was a literal terrorist. In addition to an arsenal of guns & ammo, he had a cache of bombs planted in multiple locations.
The warning signs were not hidden. He publicly embraced hate & violence.
It sincerely got a pass because he was white. That's it.
This much is clear to me. The United States government is not going to confront the crisis of guns or of white supremacy/bigotry. In fact, Trump has emboldened this ugly nexus. Whatever is going to get done, we must do it ourselves.

This is what I’ve been really thinking about. I’m a parent and I monitor my child’s internet use on a daily basis. I’m starting to wonder when kids do this and there are clear warning signs that were not acted on, who else holds some criminal responsibility?
If parents aren’t keeping their guns locked up and their kids use them then they need to be held accountable too

Yeah, when I heard there were no warning signs and in the next breath, they’re reporting he had an arsenal of bombs, I thought there is no way there weren’t warnings signs. No one builds multiple bombs and NO ONE notices anything. Come on.
The @FBI is negligent in the whole matter. They focus on “black extremists” who don’t seem to really exist on any noticeable level instead of the real theat of right wing terrorist.

I sincerely respect everything you have said and agree with most of it my friend, but please do not unfairly call what most of my genetics make up "supreme" and that I get a "pass." I don't feel that I am or that I do. Until we stop pointing the finger it will only continue.
