I need you to see this. A tennis racket. That's what we're talking about here. Palestinians have tennis rackets. Not a single Israeli has been injured today as they've slaughtered and maimed countless Palestinian protestors.https://twitter.com/Omar_Gaza/status/995998755940962309 …

Sure the one in the picture has a tennis racket... while those not in the picture have Molotov’s and kite bombs... so what are Israeli soldiers supposed to do? Wait till one gets killed to retaliate? Don’t come to the border with violent intentions and expect safety

Is that why so many Israeli soldiers have been killed? Oh...right. Not one. NOT ONE. The response is disproportionate at best.

Not one soldier has been killed because it’s a defense fence... it’s built for defense. It would not be easy to harm those on the other side. Seems like the argument I keep hearing is that since no Israelis got harmed this whole thing isn’t ok. If casualties were even, that help?

Don't be ridiculous. And don't bring up hypotheticals. They aren't helpful. The reality is Israel uses aggression at levels that is unwarranted. Can you really justify using firepower against rocks and tennis rackets?

Say they make it through the fence... what do you think their goal is? To talk? No they have maps they handed out that show the quickest paths from the fence to settlements. Violence is the goal, Israel is defending itself against said violence.

Have you ever asked what Israel's goal is? To eradicate the Palestinians and take their land as their own. Why do you find it unreasonable for Palestinians to defend themselves?

I hate the settlements and hate what is happening, but the irony of your statement, and the fact that you are so casually unaware of how ironic it is, just, wow. It will never be helpful for people to pretend away the reality on either side.

The photographer who took a shot of a Palestinian hitting a tear gas canister with a tennis racket is Yasser Qudih @yasserqudih84. He's in critical condition after being shot by Israeli snipers today. - Not certain it is the same photojournalist.

Shaun you sound upset and disappointed that no Israeli soldiers were killed. It is the Palestinians who are attacking Israel and causing problems at the border. Israel prewarned the Palestinians to stay away from the border even dropping leaflets. Yet they didn’t listen.

What a dumb comment! Should those being attacked not defend themselves? Were those same attackers warned beforehand to not go to the border? Using balloons and other contraptions to send killing and maiming devices over the wall isn’t to bright. IDF were within their rights.

Whatever it takes to protect the public. If snipping at people who are using drones, catapults or balloons to send over explosives that can kill and maim innocent people than yes snipers behind a wall makes perfect sense is morally acceptable.
