Not only fired, but prosecuted... Oh wait, police officers are not held accountable for their crimes against citizens.

That's why it's important their names are out there, PUBLISHED by media. Not usually down for internet justice but we have 2 justice systems in U.S.: one for people of color + one for white folk. Abusive cops should be blacklisted from ANY future security jobs.

Thank you so much for the work you are doing to expose these people. People will not change until it gets personal. Keep making it personal. Expose Racists, Expose Bad Cops. Do it by name and demand accountability!

The police are largely protected by their union, which sends these cases to arbitration. Police administrations rarely win here, even when the evidence is overwhelming. (Philadelphia a prime example.) Police unions protect the bad ones to protect the good ones, they contend.

Don’t buy what? That is the track record when administrations try to crack the blue line. Not defending it. And yes, the institutional racism is in play here.
-
I thought I meant ‘don’t buy that bs line of thinking that the unions want us to believe.’ This is so crazy AND what you said, Warren is so true. And it MUST change!
-
Context and nuance are sometimes hard to discern on keystroke-rationed social media. Thanks for clarifying; the inability of govt to police the police is a major reason for many outrages that surface. That taints the image of the many great officers who do the right thing.

Shaun thank you. This is what it takes. Putting the officers who do this on blast. Name them. Show their faces. Expose their behavior. Make it harder for them to simply slip away quietly and get another job. Let them know we see them. Enough. Thanks for your incredible work.

This is why I keep saying there should be a national police personnel records system. That way some town looking to hire an experienced officer won't get a dirtbag like this.

Agreed!

We need an FBI database of all LEOs nationwide. If they have quit to avoid discipline or been disciplined for civil rights violations they should be prohibited from ever having a badge in this country.
-
Why don’t we HAVE this? Someone needs to start a one and provide it to community action groups nationwide as our OWN way to protest basically the transfer of an abusive cop across communities!

He certainly does not deserve his retirement. Resigning was too easy. They should have fired him. But that's privileged/entitlement for you.

“LEO” Gary Thomas quit his job in Shreveport. Watch for him showing up in a town near you.

Excuse me but there are two officers in the video. Both should have been fired. In action is complicit and just as guilty. Just like a get away driver.
