I'm glad to see these videos because it helps me plan what I, as a white bystander, might say and do in similar situations. We need to speak up and intervene.
Plainclothes white supremacist police informants. She had her phone charger. She’d memorized protocol. She went out to do this. And her affective shifts are a lot like police’s: I’m just looking into X. Act violently and illegally, and, suddenly, feign frightened for their life.
I questioned that phone charger immediately. She also mentioned that she has done this before.
White privilege is having the power to bring about Black people's incarceration, even death because you feel "uncomfortable and face zero accountability.
