Things I can do as a white woman without the police being called: walk, drive, shop, travel, tour college campuses, use Starbucks or McDonalds bathrooms without buying food, etc., etc.

You just nailed it. I will never face this myself because I'm white, but I can certainly open my mouth and tell people that this is real, it's happening, it's not imagine or drummed up for sympathy. And it has to stop.
So many times I should have been cuffed and stuffed for the shit I was doing but since I used to be a cute white girl I was always let go. I had two different white cops say I remind them of their daughters and I’d walk away with an open container and my purse full of weed.
Honestly asking here, is this a kind of tactic now? I mean, is this an organized thing? Is someone out there on the dark webs saying call the police on black people for just being somewhere? Kind of like swatting.

It's my understanding that she called the non-emergency # posted by the city to report violations of Oakland's municipal code prohibiting portable charcoal grills at the location of the incident.
