White people are so desperate to be oppressed that they will 1. Write op-eds from their salaried position at the New York Times. 2. Discuss the op-ed on the national news. 3. All while concluding that they've been pushed out of mainstream media.
Seriously though. White conservatives control: the House, the Senate, the Presidency, the Supreme Court, most governorships, most state houses, the most viewed news network, And somehow they still say they are being marginalized & oppressed. It's all bullshit.
The Chief Strategist of the White House was the Chairman of Breitbart News. But conservatives are having a hard time right now? Trump's Director of Policy, Stephen Miller, is a lifelong bigot - widely documented. Yet they claim their free speech is being impeded? GTFOH.
For the most part, that would be "white conservative evangelical Christians". Just saying.

For many of these #Conservatives, control is not enough; they want adulation from those they control. They mis-remember #JimCrow as a time when women & minorities were both “properly” marginalized AND “properly” grateful for being permitted any role in “their” America.
Because the accusation is a ploy. It's never mattered whether its true or not. They've been claiming victimization for as long as they've existed.
It's so baffling to talk to other white people who try to play the victim card. Like, I can't imagine how they can look at the world around them and say "Yep. It's harder for white dudes than anybody else" without dissolving in a puddle of cognitive dissonance.

That's the attack strategy of authoritarians. Claim victimhood and double down on actual victims, saying "look what you made me do". Any sharing of power elicits this response.
They are repressed in that they don’t like that they aren’t popular and that people hate them.
