Here is when Officer Gary Thomas of the
@ShreveportPD was actually fired by the police department for domestic violence. This was just 9 months ago and came after a full hearing. Then, of course, they hired him back. Now he's out being brutal again.https://www.ktbs.com/news/spd-officer-with-pending-criminal-charges-is-fired/article_c2b69c6e-7ee1-11e7-81de-3f109f7f375d.html …Show this threadThanks. Bro it’s cops like this that kill our young brothers and sisters in our communities! Being rehired after being fired seems to be a trend here lately
-
Damn sure does.

Been raising hell about this for yrs. From now on whenever you read about brutality settlement or a payout because a cop murdered a citizen, ask the reporter to identify the insurance company that paid the claim. I just asked this reporter to do so.http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/daily-southtown/news/ct-sta-oak-lawn-settlement-st-0217-20170216-story.html …

Did they tell you

Just emailed him a few minutes ago. Activists should start making it SOP, demand to know which companies enable cops who kill & brutalize citizens. Hit Palm Beach, FL w/a couple hundred million in settlements with no liability insurance, the couldn’t fire these cops fast enough.
-
I got an answer: "The insurance companies that paid out the settlement in this (Chicago PD) case were Argonaut Insurance Company and Trident Insurance Services, LLC".
-
Wonder how many settlements this company has paid out for them.. We need to establish a Database on how many settlements these departments kick out to show a continuation of abusive force..

Honestly, are we that deprived for police officers in a police state that we hire those who wouldn’t pass a background check for mall security?

There are plenty of great cops out there, but the issues are deeply systemic & real.
-
I haven't met any. I wouldn't call one if my life depended on it.

There are some good police officers. I will always be grateful to the South Bound Brook, NJ police department for arriving at my home within two minutes of me calling 911. Respectful and caring. - This officer is a disgrace but the powers that be that rehired him...

If they don’t speak up, they aren’t “good officers”. They’re complicit.

From what I can tell she's the one who called the cops on this kid so don't give her too many props. She put this whole thing in motion & appeared to be telling the kid to also not put up his hands in self defense, so...

That's a HUGE leap for u 2 take. I read that NEIGHBORS called on him. She appears to be a relative so I disagree with your reasoning.
