I’ve never acted out when encountering police, over a dozen times in my life But I’ve never feared for my safety while interacting with police due to the way they react to my appearance In fact, I wasn’t even searched when I probably should have been I’m not bragging, I’m mad.

When all a white woman has to do is smile pretty and talk nice and she can get away with basically murder while unarmed black men are being gunned down in the street for being at the wrong place at the wrong time, there’s something wrong here.
-
This is not to take away from the video nor downplay her atrocious behavior that was only acceptable at the time by those police because of how she looks... It is to say, whomever acts right should be afforded the same treatment across the board regarding legal enforcement.
-
And the people that DONT act right, they have rights to. If they have to follow the rules, so do cops.
-
Lest we not forget, when people are legitimately scared regarding their safety or lives they behave in ways they normally wouldn’t. If the cops stop willy nilly killing black people disproprotionately, maybe people won’t be so scared at just the sight of police.

-
I guess that brings me back to Shaun’s main point...
#WhitePrivilege is getting to live and play by a separate set of unfair rules than POC. -
And MY point is: I don’t WANT to live by a separate set of unfair rules than my friends. I’m over it.
-
I have another comment for the cops out there, not the good ones that already know this and do this. Those OTHER ones
If you don’t want aggression from a suspect, don’t escalate negative tones and your own aggression.
You know damn well people trip when they’re scared

Listen, we cannot paint all police with the same brush. We can paint many the same same but it does all of us a disservice to make assumptions and expectations when judging the whole
