Other things need to be done, laws like the Clinton Crime Bill needs to be modified or removed. Laws need to be implemented to ensure equity (rich people can afford millions of $ in bailouts but a poor person can't) and we should lock up only ppl who commit crimes...

The problem is that the majority of the people in prison haven't committed any crime...either they are waiting for trial which can take months or years or they couldn't pay for their j-walking ticket or their parking ticket so they keep them there until someone can bail them out

@ChicoNR@ChicoER@theorion_news Y'all need to do some pieces about prosecutors in our area, and how they have shaped our communities. I know my interests are not represented and served by Michael L. Ramsey, DA of Butte County. He targets poor people & people of color. -
Much of his work concerns non-corporate, non-ownership, non-capitalist classes. Underprivileged people. He ignores much of the gross corporate and business corruption in our area, and over his 30 year span of service, I have watched gross Butte County & city official corruption.
-
Under his watch the City of Chico ran massive dark money slushfunds. Real estate con people have laundered money and engaged in international criminal cartels. People like Desmond have been gunned down by Chico Police w/ no accountability of the police.
-
In the 30 years of service of the Butte County DA, we have been the Meth capital of the world. We have attracted drug cartels, and they have had social license to operate. Many of them part of our real estate market or our local businesses. And I am sure there is a lot I missed.
-
I would love a thorough review of all the cases that Ramsey has prosecuted and all of the cases that he has declined to prosecute. I'd accept a mere list though in publication for the communities to research and review. I am interested to know who all is behind his 30 years.

And then we give these prosecutors scientifically misinformed and racially discriminatory laws like the Controlled Substances Act. We can influence who becomes a prosecutor, but if we are not eliminating discriminatory laws, we haven't taken away their AMMO.

Good video. Many prosecutors are more interested in winning than truth or justice.

Proud to say that Philadelphia has turned that corner with the recent election of
@Krasner4DA. But we have to stand up and support him, bc there are many who want to take him down simply bc of his criminal justice views.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

That’s if you believe that you vote can be counted, will be counted, and not manipulated by search engine, social media and news conglomerates. That’s is you even believe that those you elect will hold away at the table where big money controls the agendas. That is all can wake up

Instead of aborting our babies, we need stronger parents to raise the next generation of lawyers, engineers, investors...we can intentionally deploy. Even if we raise engineers, where do they get investment capital when we form financial synergies only in the church?
