I used to think that unifying with whites was a worthwhile goal. I no longer think that way. Separation seems to make more sense from a practical point of view. Seeing as how most of them possess a visceral hatred for us no matter what we do. This saddens me but it's our reality

Add in ageism and sexism and you'll understand why middle aged women of color have not rebounded after the great recession -- including those with degrees. This group also makes up a disproportionate number of the newly homeless population. Bias ruins lives.
All solutions to the issues discussed have been government based; which are destined to fail or worsen the problem despite some good intentions. There needs to be a market based solution to work. The government has defrauded minorities since the civil rights era. Good luck
