What do you think is more effective? A movement to just plain boycott Starbucks or a movement to repeatedly go in to Starbucks to use their restroom and never buying anything? A Shit-In, if you will?

to be fair, we would need to see this is systemic to Starbucks. This doesn't demonstrate that. Obviously retail racism exists, obviously. the jump from anecdote to systemic is fallacious bullshit and needs to be stopped otherwise we trivialize all real complaints.

But it is systemic..the same people who opposed ending segregation in the '60's raised the children that are currently in power today..why do you think racism prevails so much in modern-day society? Racism is a trait passed along from generation to generation.

it is, racism is systemic. Absolutely - that's why we need to demonstrate it and not just argue from individual instances and then say, OMG, that shows a systemic problem. That link has to be established or we risk it being dismissed.

As a former employee Canada, I am saddened by this video,
@starbucks. This is a pattern of obviously racist choices being made by current members at the managerial level. -
@Starbucks, you need to embark on an aggressive anti-racism campaign within your own ranks, and then you need to use your significant social presence to do the same externally. -
If you do not,
@starbucks, then all your self-promotion as a socially responsible, ethical corporation will be wasted. You will be showing us who you are regardless of who you tell us who you are.

I think they have a racist policy in place just by having a code to use the bathroom in the first place since they consistently let white people use it without purchase

I know I have used a restroom at a Starbucks without purchase first on road trips and I was not denied access but I’m white so there you go, I’m done with Starbucks as much as I liked it...someone give me a good alternative in San Antonio
