We need to challenge the leaders of our country, no matter which party they're in, on our national priorities. Puerto Rico's governor estimated that $100 billion is what's required to fully rebuild after the hurricane. We spent $2.4 TRILLION to kill a million people in Iraq.

These are the things Martin Luther King Jr. was questioning before he was assassinated. The rich and powerful don't like it when we question why there are mllions suffering in this country when we clearly have the means to end it. There's lots of money being made in these wars.pic.twitter.com/nW59ZCbwq9

He was right to question it then as we are right to question it now. We have to question the way our economy and society are structured. We must come to realize that poverty and suffering are not just byproducts of our current system, but a necessary and key component.

Yes we could. But we’d much rather fight with each other and bomb innocent civilians so that the few can keep their billions. Wake up America. It’s time.

Not to mention that, as a sovereign currency-issuing nation, we don't even need to wait for defense cuts before investing in such solutions. False choices are themselves a trap. https://modernmoneybasics.com/

The humanitarian thing is BS and the sooner we deal with the people pushing these agendas the sooner humanity can thrive. They will keep lying and covering for each other while claiming to be helping.

Unless you have a national ideology that believes the poor are poor because they’re lazy and don’t deserve help, and you get off on projecting your power around the world in countries that don’t want or deserve it.

We COULD, but we’d have to get the liberals, who’ve lost their way to first ACKNOWLEDGE the 47 million Americans in poverty or the HALF the total population of the US that can’t come up with a measly $400 in an emergency. Still am shocked it was (and Is still) republicans who did

For some reason, the formerly great Dem Party has prioritized things like transgendered bathrooms & ignored wide spread issues like above & how 18% of the total population on food stamps works at Walmart, while the repub’s acknowlodge them, gain power, and get their war machine

It is so frustrating to see so many people who have fallen through the cracks in our society because of poverty. That is the root of homelessness, hunger, petty crimes, and addiction. And a single serious illness or injury is all that separates most of us from losing it all.

Those who vote for the GOP to lower their taxes, who are middle class, even with savings, can now go broke because of a heart attack, an auto accident, or complications from the flu. But the GOP wants war toys, not healthy and free citizens.
