Think about it. Every "ambitious" policy proposal you've ever thought of and told was a pipe-dream because of the cost. We spent $2,400,000,000,000 in Iraq. For death, destruction, destabilization.
We could take on major social ills and America and EASILY end them. I'm talking hunger, poverty, homelessness. These are a pittance compared to what we waste on the war machine.

He was right to question it then as we are right to question it now. We have to question the way our economy and society are structured. We must come to realize that poverty and suffering are not just byproducts of our current system, but a necessary and key component.

We have to abandon the idea tht there is a version of civilization that doesn’t require this scale of violence. Civilization is a commitment to death. Death of the natural enviro + animals; death of communities who once endeavored to live off the land + the impending death of us.

2) The other thing that struck me about that Flint debate was a citizen asked the question: "What can u do in the future to stop an incident" like this? And I was DUMBFOUNDED when BOTH HRC and Sanders struck out on this question!
