This constant criminalization of Black Men has to stop. Meeting at @Starbucks, waiting before ordering, and daring to ask to use the restroom is a sufficient reason for police intervention? And we wonder why black men are incarcerated at disproportionate rates?

Did you hear abt the young man in Michigan who knocked on a door to get directions and was fired upon?

These men were arrested & luckily not prosecuted. This arrest can follow them forever because they were sitting in Starbucks. In NYC, you have to list every arrest on your gun permit application. Starbucks "third place" offer isn't valid for Black people.https://www.cnet.com/news/starbucks-stay-as-long-as-you-want/ …

If this doesn’t trend, if people aren’t outraged, if Black men are still treated this way without recourse, and if
@Starbucks doesn’t make amends...who are we?Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

No. A young man by the name of Dontre Hamilton was murdered by a cop after Starbucks baristas called cops on him for sleeping outside on a park bench.

Well, thank you I guess for stopping the insanity. Now what? There were 7 officers involved in escalating a non crime into a fake misdemeanor then treated the 2 men as if they were murderers. Suspensions? Terminations? At the very least an apology from both the officers & dept

Why were they arrested in the first place? Who will be held accountable?

Thank YOU for working towards reform at the DA level. I also think legislation (written by for profit prison companies) needs to change.

Thank God for Larry Krasner. We need leadership today that will stand for human justice. What they did to those men were dehumanizing, unfair, bias, and unwarranted. Sad when people are detain and arrested without any evidence of criminal activity.
