Boycotts are the best way to change unacceptable behavior. We need to use that financial tool more often like in this case.

It worked in Montgomery so why do we keep trying to reinvent the wheel?

My experience of Starbucks is as an outstanding corporate citizen, largely because they empower their employees to help proactively in their communities. Hey, I have racist relatives, they are going to have some racist employees. Let's give them a MINUTE to do the right thing.
-
Don’t disagree. Starbucks deserves the chance to respond. But it had better reflect the seriousness of the incident. Don’t think this could have happened without at least the tacit approval of the store’s management. Very bad.
-
They had two days to come up with this response. Not good enough.

Thank you for sharing the longer video.

No worries, the longer video shows you how dignified & restrained the 2 men were from the beginning & how other patrons who witnessed everything were coming to their defense. There is no other twist to this but discrimination!

So,
@Starbucks, first you steal from a woman of color@thehoodwitch , then you have 2 men of color arrested for NO REASON! I think I’ll stick to my local coffee joint.#BoycottStarbucks#BLMThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

They also need to correct this. Close the store until the employee who called this in is identified, fired, and the entire staff retrained. The main reason we black people are killed more by police is because we are unnecessarily forced into altercations with them to often.

You should be getting and sharing the contact information of the police department because regardless of if they were called they should not be arresting in this situation. People are directing their anger at starbucks because they don't have info on the PD.
-
To be clear I don't mind people directing anger at Starbucks, I am upset at the lack of anger directed at the actions of the police.

“Unfortunate result” sounds like someone got a unicorn frappe when they asked for a latte. They violated the civil liberties of these men, humiliating them in public for simply being black. Do better
