As a veteran I understand his right. As a veteran I totally disagree with what he choose to do.

As a veteran you should know better. Black men been dying for that flag since the revolutionary war and he is kneeling to protest killing of black people that are murdered by the people who are supposed to serve and protect them. I am combat vet so tell me why he is wrong

Civilians have the right to peacefully protest against the oppression they feel. You would think veterans would stand with him. Isn't that what we fought for.

Again I do agree he has the right. I just think there is a better way to do it. Kneeling in my OPINION is disrespectful to those who have paid the ultimate price for that freedom.

And what about black veterans? Because they *have* died at the hands of the police as well as on the battlefield. Or does that not fit your narrative?

I really don't have a narrative. I respect all who have served color does not matter.

So what angers you more the deaths of your black brothers-in-uniform putting their lives on the line for this country just to come home and be executed unjustly at the hands of those who also swore an oath...and for them to be let off? Or Kaepernick kneeling because of it?

As a lifelong @Seahawks fan, I’m ashamed of the organization. Kaepernick was our rival for so long; his athleticism is unquestionable. He’s a great fit & would lend credence to “always compete”. He deserves a shot in the @NFL Seattle is a great city; the Hawks should embrace him.

His activism is to be admired, & shouldn’t be a cause to be shunned by the league he gave much to, including some great all-time performances. @Kaepernick7 inspires me, & he should inspire us all. Keep the faith Kap. I rooted against you as a Niner, but you’re an amazing man!

With each below average quarterback signed, the case against the NFL gets stronger. I support @Kaepernick7. I taught my students all about him and he’s on our classroom wall to remind us of the great people that make sacrifices for the greater good.

So he’s to blame or the ignorant people that get angry when he kneels but are okay with unarmed Americans being killed? So funny how angry people are at a peaceful protest.

When you go to a presser with a Castro T-shirt on and pig socks you are not peacefully protesting anything.He may have never hit anyone personally but make no mistake he incited a lot of hate for police and racial tensions across the country.His scheme was planned.dont be fooled.

You really think people of color needed another excuse to dislike or distrust the police? Look at our history. All he did was try to wake some people up about the reality of being brown in this country and being mistreated by the police.

I really think people like you should choose better examples of leaders/mentors.

Being upset with the way he protests is small minded. This entire administration has disrespected the flag way more than this man has. Our flag has become a symbol of hate used by the Trump supports and White Supremacists.

Small minded is not trying to correct the problem at the source and upsetting an entire country while pretending to care about the country/group in general. Put you motivations in the home! Start there and teach kids morals,honesty,work ethic,family values. #fixtherightproblem
