So cops can kill, get free lifetime labor for pay prisons, a 50k GoFundMe and no chance of ever being held accountable?

5 yrs ago, 2 friends of mine robbed a McDonald’s, the cops shot and killed on of them & the other one they caught and arrested. The one who survived, they charged him with his friends death. They were both white.

This happens so often. My job for the last decade has been representing “lifers” (life WITH the possibility of parole), and I can’t tell you how many are serving life sentences for murder when they did nothing violent themselves. So many women. 1/3
-
That's my daughter. Involved in the crime under duress from a bad boyfriend choice. His direct actions led to someone being killed in the commission of a felony. Federal crime and sadly no parole.

But the police shooting was found "justified", therefore no murder took place. How can you be charged with a murder that didn't happen? There is a logic problem here ....

Ethan Couch would have to kill a whole state to get 65 years. Lakeith Smith deserves better.

So from my understanding, this gives cops the authority to kill people during a crime and charge the defendant with murder?

This is not a black law that law affects all criminals. Stop telling lies. You make your bed lay in it. No one held a gun to his head to participate in a felony At 15 he knew right from wrong. I admit 65 years is rediculous, But I see nothing wrong with the law. And yes I'm black
-
First of all what lies??? Second, what does you being black have to do with anything????
-
You said that it was a black law. Had you say it was being used on most black folks. Maybe folks would be a little more sympathetic. But yeah, I agree 65 years is rediculous for a 15 year old kid. Who probably think more with his azz than his head.

if a law is wrong, it needs to be fixed. it shouldnt be like " b/c we lynched ppl before, it should always be good"
-
Your logic is so flawed. First of lynching people was never legal, second of all if you commit a crime you should be responsible for what happens while you do it. It's your fault the crime to place and so is anything else that happened
-
and as voters, we reserve the right to criticize laws that we deem wrong. my claim still stands. for instance, in the 20s, there was the alcohol ban. was it a correct law? it was wrong hence govt. had to get rid of it.
-
There's nothing wrong with criticizing a law I just have no idea why you brought up lynching and tried to frame it as if it were legal. Using that to explain why you disagree with a law just shows me how poorly thought out your argument is
-
lynching might not have been law, but it was acceptable at that time. thats y I brought it up

Shouldn’t be robbing houses anyways. You’re missing the point, DON’T TAKE THINGS THAT AREN’T YOURS, THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES.
