In Egypt I’ve met street vendors who speak 4-5 languages. The average person I’ve met speaks at least 3 and can easily speak about complex political matters taking place all over the world. In the United States, they have a name for white children with these skills...geniuses.

Same thing in South Africa. In Johannesburg, the average can speak just about three languages too. I, personally, speak six. And that is absolutely normal.
