Barack Obama is a sacred cow to the majority of African Americans. Criticizing him (or Oprah or Beyonce) for almost anything comes w/ guaranteed blowback. It’s not generally advisable politically. I believe in the substance of Bernie’s criticism of the Democratic Party though.

You're misconstruing the events here: it didn't sound dismissive to anyone but to those who decided to deliberately twist his words and lie about what Bernie was saying.
-
This sounded harsher than I wanted. I appreciate you speaking out on this. But let's call liars by their name

Then Shaun do you admit that some of these smears are people purposely trying to do so by taking words out of context? Why don’t they show the full quote of his ?
-
Because they have an agenda. People MUST go to the source if they want the full context and the truth. The perpetrators know most folks won't. Human behavior never disappoints. We view the panic created by the reading of "The War of the Worlds" as a quaint time in history.

Hey my Great Uncle Disappeared during The War of the Worlds Attack. We lost too many Humans that day.
-
I am sorry for your loss. And I lost a cousin that I never met in the Bowling Green massacre. Both very tragic events.

Bernie's remarks sounded dismissive to those who decided to present it as dismissive and quote him out of context. This is the same cast of characters who have msrepresented Bernie Sanders repeatedly. Why not set them straight?

It doesn't matter what Bernie says or does. Neoliberals will attack him and twist his words because they're corrupt to their core and he represents a clear and present danger to their corporate gravy train. In other news, water is wet.

I concur. It appears to link
@BarackObama with the failures of the@democrats. If you remember his first term, his party had the majority. Yet, they, were the major resistance to his policies, not just the@gop. He faced a headwind from his front and his back. - 3 more replies

A lot like Bill Clinton. Very charming but passed horrible policies.

It sounded dismissive to the neoliberals who worship him even though he left the Democratic Party deep in debt and backed a similarly neoliberal candidate

Then that’s their problem and not his or his speech.
