Yes this is understandable, but a man who was emotionally disturbed killed kids at school, with an assault rifle, wasn’t killed or shot once. He is Actually receiving fan mail. This man with a shower head is dead.
Yes. We know now that it WAS a shower head, but sadly he created the very strong impression, deliberately, (sick or not), that it was a gun and he was ready to kill innocent people.

At Best Buy, employees have to take modules EVERY month to make sure they know how to sell to customers. There needs to be a timed test that police have to take every month, where they as quickly as they can have to identify gun or household object because..
Do you realize how quickly a gun can be shot? Action is faster than reaction, so time is already not on the side of a cop. I’d rather mistake it to be a household item then lose my life. Yes I agree more training is necessary. The issue is the funding for training.

For those that say, just comply and you won't get shot. I have a friend that has seizures. He can't comply with orders or instructions for about 30 minutes after a seizure. Autistic people sometimes can't. Mentally I'll cant at times. Drunk drivers almost never do. Deescalate!
