Blown away by this statue of Ramesses II. It is magnificent and was as special to me as seeing the pyramids. That’s me and the family standing next to it. Shows you the scale of how huge this is.pic.twitter.com/q0LtlDps5M

You have to try it at Abou Tarek or at Koshary Tahrir downtown!!
I second Koshary Tahrir on Falaky street.
Their shatta (hot sauce) is, or used to be, glorious and kind of smoky, unusually for koshary places.
Best vegan meal to ever exist.
Pour some garlic on it, you won’t regret it!
OMG best food ever!! I need to go back just to get some
I will have to look it up
I went to Cairo this past summer and had this for the first time too!!! It's sooo good!
Great vegetarian dish, very filling. Gotta put some spicy sauce on it. I like it HOT!
Koshari is known as the food of the peasants yet is delicious & one of my faves ... enjoy! Or as they say in Egypt - Sahtain
It’s in Brooklyn btw in bay ridge
Ah, Koshari! A delicious staple. (and easy to make at home if you want to give it a go when you're back.)
No offense Shaun but that does not look appetizing
#koshari is arguably the perfect meal: you’ve got your starch/carb (rice), you’ve got your protein (lentils, chickpeas), you’ve got your veggies (tomato sauce w/garlic), all topped off with fried onions. I mean, COME ON!
Yum yum yum I tried Foul in Oman Oh my goooosh!! Sooo simple and Amaaazing
What exactly is it? Looks tasty.
I LOVE trying dishes from other countries! Although at the Afganistan restaurant I did take a bite of goat balls that was unpleasent.
