Funny how people will tell you somewhere is unsafe, for you to go only to be reminded that 99% of the world are people just trying to make a better life for their families and be good people. Felt totally safe there too.

Typically if the US is telling us somewhere is "unsafe" it's because either they are the ones CREATING the unsafe conditions or they just don't want common Americans to humanize the PEOPLE in the "developing" world. Always best to talk to people there instead of taking gov word.

What an amazing place. We did that on horseback. Did you make it out to Panorama Point to see all 9 pyramids? What a spectacular treat it was to see them all in one picture. I will forever be in awe of the Giza plateau!
