A lady here in Iowa was convicted of voting for Trump twice (only case of voter fraud I've ever heard of). Did it intentionally & got probation. This woman made an honest mistake & got 5 yrs. Judges should have some insulation, but this is indefensible & he must explain himself.

Im confused on how she actually voted. She was on felony probation, and i always thought that meant you lose your registration to vote. Either the state forgot to file somthing or they just dont care. None of it makes sense.

Provisional ballot
-
Is that for sure what she used? Google is saying that ballot is for people who are unsure of their electability. If they can arrest for filling that out while unelegable, then it almost feels like a trap.

Yes, yes, and you’re right.

I believe some prosecutors in Kentucky are focused on charging and convicting every person of color of a felony to ensure they don't vote. If you want change, let everyone vote, including people serving time...bet the prison would be close to 100% voting.

Please don’t stop talking about this! There is no way in hell this sentence would’ve been handed down if she was white and/or this wasn’t the era of Trump. They’re trying to intimidate and discourage POC from voting.

I think this Albert John Roberts is the candidate for Tarrant County D.A. we need to support to replace the abominable D.A. who set this injustice in motion. https://www.albertjohnroberts.com pic.twitter.com/ec5XN3EDay

"Crystal Mason served nearly 3 years in prison for tax fraud. She was on supervised release when she cast a ballot in the presidential election. Because of that, a judge sentenced her to 5 years in prison this week." this pretty much explains it not that you care lol
-
Yeah, we read the article. Voting while on probation doesn't warrant a five-year sentence.
-
you could try asking the judge i'm sure they'd be able to explain it to you
-
Yeah, let me just shoot him a text real quick.

This is insane, and a waste of tax payers money! She made a mistake, and like someone pointed out Trump voters who voted twice, knowing it's illegal, got a tap on the wrist!

But a police volunteer killed a black man and only got a year and a half in prison, but she gets 5 years for voting?
