It may not have been intentional, but it’s insensitive and feeds into stereotypes. Sometimes you just got to “splain” stuff to people. Everything is not always intentional.
What stereotypes? That girls play the violin? That boys like sports? That red cravats look totally lame? At least tell us what stereotypes are being fed - since when were people so cryptic about calling other people racist?
