Austinite here. I spoke with a friend who works affected trauma unit The injuries described are horrific. That boys mother will never recover. The idea that the bombers backstory/motive is being given a sympathetic framing is vile.

There’s some basic stuff law enforcement & the media could get right: He’s a domestic terrorist. And full of anger. He plotted and murdered innocent ppl. Investigate as you see fit, but call it like it is: another white male domestic terrorist full of rage.

Since no one seems to know...or care...whether the *victims* of this murderer were from "Godly families", the intent seems, as usual, to "soften" & humanize this man, while suggesting his victims, as black people culturally "accustomed" to violence, were "no big loss" to anyone.
