It’s the same humanizing narrative every time. Rinse, wash & repeat. Media knows what they are doing when they mention his home life & the good opinions of others he knew compared to how they portray Black ppl like Michael Brown & Trayvon Martin. Journalistic racism.
It has not yet been 24 hours since a white suicide bomber who killed a Black boy and a Black man blew himself up, and already police and media outlets are speaking sympathetic words about him. It’s disgusting. Black VICTIMS of white violence get less sympathy & compassion.

And they wonder why we take a knee. They wonder why we talk about race.

It is disgraceful & the logical extension of racism. The white kid is seen as fully human & therefore complex. We need to know “what went wrong?” W/ a black kid, we don’t have to ask “what went wrong?” cuz we already know: he’s black.
