I usually enjoy your work Shaun, but you're reaching with this one and got your numbers wrong. He got 13 wins the past 11 seasons, didn't play 3 of them and was a backup or started 8 or less games in 4. He won 5 games for the Jets this past season, they were predicted to 1 or 2.

While I agree Colin should have a job in the NFL, don't compare him to a career backup and call it white privilege. McCown has played most of his career on the veteran minimum or just above it, he's only had a salary above $5M in a year twice in his career before this contract.

In his 15 year career, McCown has made $4M less than Colin made in 6. With this new deal, he's surpassing Colins career earnings but doing so just barely and with 10 seasons more played.
