Because it's a "local" paper? This happened in our community, and we've been covering it from every angle that our limited staff can. National media is also covering this story and the victims. Tweets like "mainstream media doesn't seem to care" are reckless and not true.
I applaud local coverage. National coverage is dismal. And everybody who sees my tweets and posts say "Why in the hell have I not heard more about this?" That's why I mean. Most people say my images of the additional victims are the first they've seen. Why is that?

In the first day or two following any horrific loss of life, I usually assume it's to give the family an opportunity to make notifications personally instead of having the people who cared for the victim find out by seeing their image in the news.
oftentimes police won't release names until next of kin is notified. whether that takes an hour or days, once that happens, that's often when media gets told the names too.
This is what I meant to. Local papers are fantastic, and we'd be lost without them. But for crying out loud I can't read all those.

Maybe because it didnt involve a gun The people behind the pushed narrative on banning guns wouldnt like the national media to cover other acts of violence and/or domestic terrorism that didnt involve guns bcuz itll crush thier argument that only guns are used & need to be banned
The problem is that people don’t take time to watch or read the news, then complain that they’re uniformed when all they read are 140 character snapshots from people like you looking for retweets.
Wrong. I'm in Florida and the ONLY place I've heard details/seen photos of these victims is Twitter.
