The root of white supremacy in the u.s. is in the teachings of white southern baptist preachers who taught white superiority. It helped that they were teaching from a book with a white god

(2/2)Ultimately, some are constantly reminded of their race, and can't just say race is made by man to cause division, because they are the ones who are forced to recognize and look at their race, every day. Whereas others can turn a blind eye to race. & That's privilege.

One of the problems is that most school textbooks perpetuate that crap by lying about (whitewashing) history.

This argument is tired, IMO. Especially when espoused by POC. We can not, will not EVER change the soul of this country as it relates to others ~ especially ~ those of African descent. Thanks for helping to bring this fact to the fore (again) DJT.

I like this "argument" because it means I'm more like the POC that I know, see, admire, respect. I didn't grow up with POC so I guess it is an education thing. I think you have to be open first, 2b educated. And so many aren't. U keep teaching, I'll keep learning. Thank you

(1/2)I tried preaching this and was hated for perpetuating a false idea that blankets and covers up race, and people complained that its not that easy to just change people's minds, so ignoring race altogether doesn't work because some can't ignore their race. -

Because
#Racists don't care about#Facts related to anyone or anything they have been taught to hate. That .1% is what the nature/nurture controversy is all about.#TeachYourChildrenThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Hell, baby boomers act like Millennials aren’t the same species. They’re literally their children. So go figure.

Yes. Thank you! I hated white supremacists before I learned about DNA, but after, I wonder what they're basing it on. I'm increasingly alienated from the idea of my whiteness. I get what it means to other ppl, society, etc. But idk what it's supposed to mean to me.

My parents were racists. The difference between us was education. They, to their later regrets, pushed us to do well in school. We walked away. I don't understand how anyone can be educated and racist. Those are the people that stun me. I wonder if they just bought their degrees.
