America can quickly name and blame an immigrant for a possible act of terrorism but when the tragedy happens on our turf and by our citizens, especially white citizens, somehow folks find it so difficult to name things for what they are.
What we're really seeing right now on #DividedStates is the fact that Islamophobia is so strong in this country that other immigrants believed to be Muslims are often targeted, attacked, and murdered.

This adds bricks to an already concrete foundation that protects a very privileged society. It raises the wall of fear against those that do not reflect or are recognized as American (white) citizens. It’s a direct cause for the 19% increase of hate crime against Muslims.

Have seen it happen here. Anyone of brown skin yelled at “go home, Muslim”...even though some are Christian, some Sikh, some atheist. My students report this is on the rise since Trump.(teach refugees, immigrants)
