I don't know what you found, but make sure your contingency plans have contingency plans and record all of your findings in such a way that the story can be released if, God forbid, they try to hem you up.
I don't get spooked easily. Have been working on a story for months that is so ugly, and full of so much corruption within the NYPD & the DA's Offices in The Bronx & Queens, that it really spook me for a bit. You don't know that you'd feel that way until you stumble on upon it.
