I’ve never seen a group of people more confident in defeat, with less to show for their hubris, than the modern day Democratic Party. House, Senate, Presidency, Supreme Court, Overwhelming Majority of State Governments — all lost to conservatives. And they stay self-righteous.

Dems lost seats trying to achieve the very things you claim you want: Universal Healthcare, gun control, lgbt rights, immigration, Dreamers, etc. Every time Dems get power we lose it when the GOP says we went too far & the Left says we didn't go far enough.

As for the other part of your post, he's known as the "amendment king" for his ability to get important parts of legislation passed. If he wasn't good at either one of those things, he wouldn't have been to get anything done.
