Because of ideological purity. Instead of understanding that agreeing with someone 80% is better than agreeing 0% ;people want all or nothing. That doesn't exist. I grew up poor as dirt, I understand I can't get EXACTLY what I want. More people need to understand that.

It is happening by the change in the make-up of the people running in 2018. The new faces are women, younger people, POC. It's happening as you will see. They won't be as progressive as you hope, but they will be good, wholesome people, not corporate shills.
