Personally disagree. To me this always just signals that you don’t think you can win or deserve to win on the merits. We have a system for electing presidents, if you’re not into it then let somebody else step up. 1) I dunno, felt like a kind of legit debate on the direction of the party to me, but don’t see how any of these ideas help regardless. 2) No. Trump is horrific. So believe in yourself & beat him on the merits, don’t tell people they should vote for you because of a gimmick.

It wasn’t a normal and healthy primary b/c people like Biden opted not to run. He had his chance. He passed. He’s 77 and has had a seat in politics for 40 years. Move to the side and let someone new have a voice. Enough of the retreads.
