So Basically the logic is saying Justin Timberlake can never make another song again because he draws from MJ And Prince who have both praised JT As an artist, Shouldn't it be a good thing that white people can be inspired by powerful and talented black artists

Not sure you'll find much evidence of Prince praising Timberlake.
-
From what I can tell via the magic of Google, it was Prince's estate, not Prince himself.
-
Regarding the Super Bowl, yes, because Prince couldn't speak, though his position on the use of hologram-type images is documented. My point concerned comments made during Prince's lifetime and stand by what I said. Have a great day
-
I agree, Prince wouldn't hold back on anyone but I believe he would have respect for someone who idolizes him dearly
-
And I would counter that if Timberlake indeed holds him so dear he wouldn't have used Prince's image knowing that Prince vehemently objected to such a thing.
-
IDK I guess he thought it would be a touching tribute but The Execution was downright horrible
-
Or he knew what Prince felt and just didn't care and did what he wanted to do. I'm not on board with it. Prince's feelings were well-documented and there's no way Timberlake would have been unaware.

I love 40s/50s Rock & Roll and R&B. It's gross just how much of it only hit the big time when done by white artists, especially when the black artists did it so much better. Not surprised. Just disgusted. Bruno's awesome, though. Love him. He respects the roots.

Oh man, I remember them. They were really good. Everybody I knew listened to them at the height of their popularity. But yeah, it did seem like they were categorized differently when I think about it. The more I dig into music history, the more I notice stuff like this.

Except Bruno Mars isn’t white. He’s actually Puerto Rican and Filipino. He’s a person of color and he always pays homage to these artists and thanks the people he works with. Not many artists do that in the industry. I don’t know what else people want from him!?pic.twitter.com/33IBo6YchW
-
Exactly, blaming him instead of supporting the artists they claim don't get recognition by buying their music...
-
Right! Like I’ve been supporting
@BrunoMars from the beginning because that’s raw talent. The same with@thegreatkhalid. Talent is talent!

Why shouldn’t he just do music as he sees it fit or as he is inspired, why should we assign a color to it? Isn’t music color blind

Shaun didn't make it about race. A young lady did at a forum and there's a video of it going around and now the Internet is in shambles over whether Bruno is an appropriator or not. It's ridiculous.
-
I am just making a point and not accusing anyone of anything
@ShaunKing is cool with me most of the time sometimes I disagree with him & I make sure I make my point known -
Oh no, I agree with you! I was responding to the other tweet about "Why does Shaun make it about race?" Sorry for the confusion.
