If you can be given adult responsibility for alleged crimes, why not?

I head a story yesterday about a Raise the Age case in Michigan where a prosecutor decided to try a juvenile as an adult for a curfew violation...which is not an adult crime

If a 16 year old is responsible enough to operate a one-ton motor vehicle without killing someone, they’re mature enough to vote.
-
And 16 year olds are killing people just the same. At equal or higher rates! See? False equivalency.

The
@GOP (AKA the party of the elderly) would never allow that sort of reverse (genetic) gerrymandering, Shaun. Old enough to go to war, but not old enough to vote for war.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

For Switzerland you're (semi)-incorrect. You have to be at least 18 years old to be able to vote for national elections/legislature votes. Exactly ONE Kanton allows voting at 16, Glarus, but ONLY for matters concerning the Kanton Glarus. 1/2
-
All other Kantons do NOT have voting beginning age 16! Additionally, you cannot run for office until you're 18, even in Glarus. Source: https://www.ch.ch/de/demokratie/abstimmungen/wer-ist-stimmberechtigt/ …

Hate to be 'that guy' but Scottish voting age was only lowered to 16 for the Scottish Independence Referendum. Otherwise, it's 18 like the rest of the UK...

We need to get people involved in the process, an age drop has no effect if people are so disenfranchised they don't participate.

Clarification: Scotland only allows 16 and 17 year old to vote in' local' and 'Scottish parliamentary' elections. The General elections for UK parliament is 18 years.
