I do not disagree but the reality is harder. How do you get kids to a different school if you work/don’t have a car/can’t move. I feel for families who want to do this but don’t have the mobility.
I am speaking for myself.
If my children were consistently harassed and ridiculed by bigots, and the school did not protect them, I would remove them from that school
I have recommended this to a few dozen families. 100% of them told me they are glad they did it

I thought I lived in a good school dist - when I found I did not, I homeschooled my daughter. Unless you have a highend corp job you will find that living on one income is doable when you do not have to pay for work clothes, trans, childcare, etc.

That’s how my siblings and I came to be homeschooled way back in the late 80s. We lived in Fredericksburg, VA and there was one incident too many at school so, after speaking with a neighbor that homeschooled her kids, my parents filed the proper paperwork and pulled us out.

My mom and I home schooled my little sister because she was getting death threats and the administration refused to do anything about it.. it’s wrong that people have to resort to that but you gotta keep your family safe!

How many of those same parents do the same when their kids are harassed, jumped or cant learn in their familiar environment. If you bark, make sure you bark at everything. There are more cases of the latter situation than your scenario. Where do they go then? Both are wrong.
