As a #Veteran, I hate that this is so.
This much is clear. Donald Trump surrounded himself with a cast of low character criminals. Here's what's painful for most Americans to admit. Trump won the election with that crew because low-character criminality resonates deeply with millions of Americans.

i only just noticed that this might be interpreted wrong... so to be clear: the truths im talking about are that your education, healthcare and election systems need updates as they are really bad and not even close to 1st world country standards.

You forgot to mention another reason: the utter failure of the Democratic party establishment, with their embrace of corporatism and Neoliberalism during the last 40-plus years.

I don't think that the problem with the Democratic party establishment is that they live in the past. I think the problem is that they are corrupt, self-serving, owned by the same corporate cartels that own the fascist Republican party.

Even now, today...even here on Twitter on top of normal ebb and flow of info and opinions, on top of pranks and false information there are data driven texts masquerading as people. It is a lot to absorb where my 20 something children take it for granted.
