Again. I’ll say it a thousand times. What Tamika tweeted was not anti-Semitic. It wasn’t even about Jewish people in general. In the Black Church tradition we often compare our enemies to the enemies of Jesus. I’ve done it. It has NOTHING to do with hate speech. But you're ignoring context. Her tweet was a subtweet in response to Jewish voices criticizing her support of Farrakhan while he made (yet again) antisemitic remarks. The tweet by itself in a vacuum... I can understand your point. But that isn't the case here.

No. It wasn’t. You took it that way. That’s simply not what it was. I’m sorry. I agree that you have interpreted it that way. On the matter of that tweet, respectfully, you are wrong

I get the cultural gap but it's a hard sell in the context of a Farrakhan cosign

The “cultural gap” is often referenced as a defense for low-key racism, too. We can’t excuse one and condemn the other without being hypocritical. If people are offended, it’s best to consider why and address it directly, not write it off as something everyone should just intuit.

What about her cultural gap and yours? The two of you don't have the basic historical knowledge to understand why "enemies of the Jews" is a bad phrase to utter in context of antisemitism convos? You can't acknowledge that maybe regardless of intentions, it was a bad move?

Enemies of Jesus* Sorry, mistyped
