Was going to take my wife and I to see Black Panther again today but it was sold out all day and night at our local theater. I was simultaneously sad & glad at the same time.

My wife and I went last week and besides us, there were only 4 other Black folk in the showing. The rest were white folk. More than a few did the "Wakanda Forever" gesture on the way out....lol

My 16yo took a bunch of friends to see Black Panther today for her birthday party. We are glow-in-the-dark white in a Very White part of town. The theater was *packed* - what a fantastic movie.

Why would you go see the same movie in theatre twice?

Concentrated on characters & plot the first time. Can pay more attention to scenery, costuming, etc. More than once, I wished I could pause to take in everything that went by quickly.

I had some customers come into my shop last weekend that had intended to go but the local theater was sold out. One of the women was wearing a beautiful beaded necklace that she told me was Zulu in origin. I had that same mix of feelings for them.
