It's not a threat, it's a statement of inevitable consequences. A society without justice will have no peace. Guaranteed.

I sat on my porch lecturing my sons friends summer of 2016 abt voting. One of them was beautiful young African American man. I told him - yes as a white woman. I feared for him. I still do. I feel like he’s my son.

So then we need to get storm insurance right? Because it is more likely for someone to get struck by lightening than killed by a cop.

Spoken by someone who's never given a fleeting thought to how many people are affected by the unjust death of one person--the family, the friends, the entire community, even the nation. Like the deaths of school children in a massacre like Parkland [more]

--the odds of your own child dying in a school massacre are really quite small, but the emotional impact of an event like Parkland is massive and long lasting. Even parents far away from such an event fear for their own children's lives. The odds don't fucking matter. [more]

We're talking terrorism here. The odds any of us will die in a terrorist attack are probably pretty much the same as that lighting strike, so why do people keep going on about the threat of terrorism? Why so much effort and $ put in to trying to prevent another one? [more]

Death by lightning or something far more common like, say, by a car accident, does not have the broad social impact as having a terrorist attack on your country's own soil. For one, those deaths [especially the lightning] are not caused by person choosing evil. [more]

Someone else's death by lightning doesn't tear into the very core of one's being, one's way of going about in the world. Such a death doesn't engender fear and mistrust of other people, and certainly not mistrust of someone whose job it is to PROTECT you. [more]

Here's a fact for you to consider..."Blue Lives". The odds of a cop dying on the job as the result of an attack by a suspect are really quite small, and growing smaller every year. So, why do cops make such a big deal when one of their own dies by a suspect's hand? [more]

The unpredictability of any given moment turning lethal is what terrifies. That unpredictability breeds mistrust. And injustice magnifies that a thousand fold--because its impact is bound up in all the other moments of injustice, lethal or otherwise. [more]

Pretty sure there is a justice system and just because you dont like the verdict doesnt mean justice wasnt served. You put random stuff out but no facts. Cops are being murdered for doing their job.
