"Drop the sandwich!" --Naperville police officer, years back, pointing gun at two star NCC athletes, who bore even less resemblance to supposed suspects than Philando Castile did. (Naperville has, I believe, made some progress lately.)
Standing, sitting, lying down, hands up, innocent black men, women, and children are still murdered by police. THAT is why people run. Because they know no matter what they are doing, their black skin will be seen as a threat.

I agree, people of color are targeted by police unfairly. But I want us not to forget the fact that cops are under trained, groomed to have huge egos, thin skinned, do not know how to deescalate a situation, and are a danger to the public no matter what the color of your skin is.
