A lot of people are, rightfully so, commenting that the NRA appears scared. But listen, they are a fear-based organization. The core ethic that drives them is fear. They stay afraid. They are afraid of everybody & everything but conservatives white people. Period.

What I'm hopeful about is there seem to be a fair number of openly conservative white people who are finally taking firm a stand against the NRA. It might just be words, but it might also be the beginning of change. Let's hope it change.
