No one has been able to answer who would be responsible if a teacher inadvertently shot a child during an active shooter situation.
OMG. I just saw where Donald Trump literally said to a father of a school shooting victim that his solution for mass shootings is arming teachers with guns. This is what happens when politicians are bought and paid for by the NRA.

I think if teachers are armed it would be the same sentiment as when police officers shoot someone. No one is responsible but the student themselves. “They should have listened to the teacher.” That’s what will happen.

They don’t give teachers enough money to pay their bills and schools are so underfunded teachers have to buy school supplies for their kids with their own $. But now the GOP wants to pay for guns, ammo and training for teachers??? With what money?!? Some “fiscal responsibility”

I'm a public school teacher. My wife and I already said that if this ever comes close to fruition, we're leaving the profession and pulling our kids from school. I'm positive most other teachers and parents feel the same way.

I will home school my kid before sending her to a school with armed teachers. Nope! Never going to happen. In fact, I don't want an armed anyone even patrolling the school.

Also schools need liability insurance to remain open. Do you think they can get insurers to provide coverage when teachers carry guns? Think again. They'll be instantly dropped or premiums will increase 1000x. Nobody will pay the increased tax3s to support arming teachers.
