I read an article that says this, point blank. People live in fear that everything is changing too much to where life won’t look like what they know, and they vote in rich people they admire because they believe that if they follow, they’ll become rich.

it’s horrifying. I have multiple “Parkland deniers” in my Instagram comments, describing the shooting as a government hoax. At first I thought they might be bots...now I think they’re real.

I think we crossed that line a long time ago.

Which is why I switched from Republican to Independent in 2008.
@BarackObama my forever president........ -
I switched from I dependent to Democrat in 2017. Will never ever vote Republican again due to the selling out of our country that the GOP either coordinated or was complicit in.

Ask the Sandy Hook families if they are surprised. They've been battling death threats from people who think that was a hoax for years.

It was even worse after Sandy Hook. Bc those kids were babies and couldn’t speak out. The Parkland teens are remarkable and brave.

You know not all conservatives are "Christians", right? . . . . . .

I understand what you’re saying, but I think that’s the vast VOCAL majority. That’s like saying all liberals are atheist. And I can be saying that because where I live that’s true. But you see how that can be an unfair representation?
-
@hellacious83 Sorry I couldn’t tag you in my initial response lol

I guess what I’m saying is, let’s not be so quick to judge or invalidate others because of our preconceived notions or biases about who we think they are. Let’s talk and learn about one another so that we can all affect change together.

It can be hard to go in objectively when you encounter patterns, but it’s necessary. I’m sure there’s things we disagree on, but we have managed to have a mature conversation and that would not have been achieved if we automatically just assumed we knew what the other would say.
