Good stuff, but I hope this isn't just to reduce nonviolent offenders in prison as the article states...the way we approach violence has to change. Violence is learned, it can be unlearned, and it has to be if we want peace, but prisons as they are reinforce violence & trauma.

Thank you, Shaun. I’m queer, disabled, & watching my rights being stripped away. My grandfather was a light-skinned black man who changed his birth certificate to say he was white so he could marry my grandmother in Louisiana in the 1950’s. We can’t go back to that.
