I'm all for a robust field, provided we use it to define our platform, rather than to destroy one another. The left has a terrible history of self destruction. We need to engage in positive, rather than reactive, messaging.

e.g., We are the party that will make this country great FOR ALL OF US. We will fight mass incarceration, demilitarize domestic law enforcement, require and fund anti-bias and de-escalation training.

We are the part that prioritizes the safety of children over the access to guns.

We are the party that wants full enfranchisement. We are the party that will tax corporations and the wealthiest members of society and use that money for public education and health care services.

We have so many opportunities to be inclusive and inspiring, if we can just stop reacting to Republican talking points. All it does is allow them to frame the debate.

What progressives? Democrat Senators most mentioned all voted FOR a massive increase in military spending last year...

Does anyone else think it's weird that we had one relatively young black president and now we're immediately going for the oldest of white dudes again? Joe will be 80 by the middle of his first term. Not to be ageist, but it's weird.
